Eric and Carol Webster

Authors of Websterhealth.com, the Websters consider themselves "run-of-the-mill" Americans. As for Carol, her earliest recollection of being interested in health issue was taking a basic nutrition class her first year of college. From that point on there has been an informal gathering of information and sporadic attempts of eating well and exercising regularly. During late fall of 2002 Carol read a copy of Jon Barron’s book, Lessons From the Miracle Doctors. She found in that book a collection of the various facts that had passed before her over the many years of informal research. This information opened up a whole new level of resources and ideas and motivation to improve their family’s diet and health.

Eric, on the other hand, was heard to repeat "Salad is what food eats". Health habits were little more than a necessary evil that had to be contended with until he picked up Barron’s book and realized there is more to keeping a body healthy than filling an empty stomach. Once he ingested the book’s information the changes seemed to "magically" come. Never having done much study and realizing how much there is to know, he introduced Carol to the idea of starting a web site so that others could benefit as they had.

The Websters reside in Kansas City, Missouri with their three children (7, 4 and 11/2 yr.) They met and married in Tucson, Arizona where Carol was attending graduate school in Linguistics and Eric was "passing through town" on a show. After two years of marriage they moved to Kansas City for Eric’s graduate school in Theatrical Sound Design. He now works in all aspects of professional sound reinforcement but enjoys most getting Broadway musical tours up and on the road. Carol primarily keeps the home running as smoothly as possible with a sprinkling of beginning music or Spanish students. Before the rigors of full-time motherhood, Carol enjoyed teaching college Spanish classes.
